The children in Years 1 and 2 have had a fantastic term learning about The Great Fire of London. In their classes they made a replica model of the houses that were lost including the bakery where the fire started and the River Thames which is where many people escaped the fire. The model was set up in the playground where it caught fire which actually showed the devastation it caused all those years ago.
Class 2B have enjoyed a lovely trip to Wembury Beach. They enjoyed a coastal walk, rock pooling which was great fun and a visit to the Marine Centre.
Year 2 welcomed a speaker who explained to them all about the special celebrations that Hindus celebrate including a very colourful one called Holi.
