Able and Talented Register
Able, Gifted and Talented.
Pennycross is committed to providing a sufficiently challenging curriculum for all pupils, we believe that all children are entitled to an education that will enable them to develop their full potential. In addition we will provide opportunities to identify, celebrate, and in turn, nurture those who are Able, Gifted and Talented.
Children can be nominated as 'Able, Gifted and Talented' by their teachers, parents or fellow pupils.
A list of out Able, Gifted and Talented pupils is held by our coordinator, Miss Thomas. Class teachers are aware of pupils in their class who are on the Able, Gifted and Talented register. Those children who have been identified are able to attend Maths Magicians and Word Wizards. These are two lunch time clubs designed to expand their current knowledge and skills.
Able, Gifted and Talented Registration form
The teachers will record if your child is academically able, but it is useful if you can let us know if your child is talented in other areas, for example taekwondo, singing or athletics. Please complete this form so we can make note of your child's talent on their school record. Make sure you let us know your child's name in the message!
