Eco Warriors 2021-22
Our Eco Warriors decided to plan an non-electricity day for the whole school participate in and they named their event 'A Day in the Dark'. All children were encouraged to bring their own torch to school. The Eco Warriors carried out their second electricity audit around the school and noticed a real difference in the amount of electricity used.
Planet Under Pressure
In Year 5 the children have been focusing on their topic 'Planet Under Pressure' and as an Art project with Miss Lydon, the children created art sculptures to depict the effect of plastic in our oceans and that of the sea creatures which live in and around our waters. Art sculptures are a great way to recycle our plastic items!

Wembury Beach Clean 27.6.21
Children from year 3 and 4 took part in a beach clean event which was organised by Miss Vincent and sponsored by the campaign Surfers against Sewage. The children found various objects such as plastic cups, pieces of clothing, glass bottles, cutlery and crisp packets. Thank you to all of those who participated in this event - you are making real a difference!
To help save energy, our Eco warriors created wonderful pom-pom sea creatures for their teachers, to remind them to turn off their computer monitors at the end of each day.
