Family Support Adviser
My name is Sarah Hill and I have just taken over from Jean Hardwick as the new Family Support Advisor (October 2018).
I will be in school on a Monday and a Wednesday, between 8:45am and 4pm, so please feel free to drop in and introduce yourself!
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am married and have two grown up children - a girl and a boy aged 21 and 19 respectively. I have lived in Plymouth for the last 29 years, having grown up in North Cornwall.
I am a trained counsellor, having worked in many secondary schools throughout Plymouth with a charity called Young Devon. I also work for a local charity called Pregnancy Crisis Care, offering help and support for women and partners coping with any pregnancy loss and also support for those facing an unplanned pregnancy. I have been involved in various voluntary work over the years, including Jeremiah's Journey and Shekinah and helping with the Soup Run for homeless people.
I currently volunteer at a youth vclub for primary school aged children.
I am here to offer you any support and advice that you may need and if I don't know the answer I will endeavour to find out or signpost you to someone who can help.
