Pennycross Got Talent

Another year of fantastic acts and children showing off their amazing skills.  A big well done to all our contestants who took part.
I would like to thank and praise them for their courage and sharing with us their range of talents.  They should be very proud of themselves as much as we.
The winners of the talent show will be announced in Tuesday's assembly.

Cross Country Results 2017-2018

This season, the Pennycross Cross Country team have been outstanding! We won the competition by a considerable margin with our girls coming 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the last two races. A special mention must go to Taya Pender who is the winning girl over the four races- and she is only in Year 5!

Classroom Demolition 09-01-18

The old Year 2 classrooms will soon be no more!

Y5/6 Bikeability

Our Y5/6 really enjoyed this year's Bikeability programme. More importantly, they have learnt about how to ride safely around the streets!

Dr Bike

On Tuesday 21st November, Ryan from Sustrans repaired bikes belonging to Year 5/6 pupils. Hopefully, they will be all set for Bikeability on the 4th of December!

Y5/6 Visit to Plymouth

Tuesday 31st October

To start our topic on Plymouth during World War Two, we paid a visit to the city centre to see how it has changed since the 1930s. At certain places (such as Old Town Street and Charles Church) we look at old photographs to take a 'then and now' photo. Can you see how things have changed over time?

In addition, were given a guided tour of the synagogue on Catherine Street, we looked at the poppy display on the Hoe and visited the WW2 exhibition in the Council House. Despite being rather tired, we all had a lovely day!

Here are some 'Then and Now'photos.

Y5/6 Football Tournament

Thursday 5th October

Shakespeare Primary

Although we didn't win, we played very well and scored some great goals! Despite the extremely long grass, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
