Key Stage One put on a great performance of 'Starlight'. The children sang beautifully and said their words clearly. Parents thoroughly enjoyed the performances. Thank you Key Stage One for your hard work.
Yesterday some children from Year 5 and 6 visited All Saints for a 'fire and ice' science day. They all had a great time and saw some amazing experiments!
Every child in school decorated a stone with a poppy to remember all the people who died or were injured in the first world war. We made a giant poppy with all the children;s stones.

Y5/6 Visit to Home Park
On the 1st July 1916, 19 240 British soldiers died on the first day of The Battle of the Somme- the worst single day in the history of the British Army.
To help us to understand how big 19,240 is, we visited Home Park where we were able to see all of the seats and imagine them being filled with the soldiers; unfortunately, Home Park only has 13,000 seats currently so 6,000 would be left out!
On a lighter note, we were given a tour by Stew and we learnt quite a lot about the life of Plymouth Argyle and its players!

Great fun and rather tiring! We wish all our leavers the best of luck in Year 7!
