Class Teacher

Full-time, Fixed Term until August 2022

 

Main Pay Scale MPS1 - MPS6 (£25,714 - £36,961)

 

The contract start date is 1st January 2022, fixed term until 31st August 2022

 

The Governors wish to appoint an outstanding practitioner. 

We are looking for an inspirational classroom practitioner who has high expectations and a commitment to raising standards. Effective communication and behaviour management skills are also essential. 

The successful candidate will be well organised, able to use their own initiative and be able to work as an active member of the school team. 

Providing release time for teachers as well as the possibility of delivering group tutoring allowing the school to fulfil the requirements of the school led tuition.

Teaching Assistant 

Permanent

Start:  1st January 2022

17.5 hours per week across 5 days

39 Weeks per year

 Actual Salary: £7,822 (Grade C, Point 5)

 

We are looking to strengthen our experienced team and require a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to support with specific experience in Early Years.  

Experience of early development, knowledge of children with learning difficulties would be desirable.  An appropriate qualification is essential.

The post requires a talented Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic, patient and calm.  The successful candidate will also need to be able to work closely with the class teacher and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will:

·       Be an excellent communicator

·       Be able to also work consistently well independently or as part of a team

·       Be able to draw upon positive behaviour management strategies

·       Be creative and able to play an active role in building a safe and happy learning environment with the child’s well-being and progress at heart

Clerk to the Governing Body

Permanent

Grade C  Annual salary: £2,159

Part-time hours:   161.5 hours per annum, term time

 

The Governing Body of Pennycross Primary School wish to appoint a skilled Clerk to Governors.  The role of the Clerk is crucial, providing professional administrative support and advice to the Governing Body.  Duties will include:-

 

  • liaising with and supporting the Chair of Governors and Headteacher
  • formation of agendas and circulation of papers
  • attendance and minute taking at all Governing Body meeting
  • occasional additional meetings as may be required 
  • correspondence
  • guiding the Governing Body on procedural matters
  • maintenance of Governing Body records
  • attend training

 

Effective ICT, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with initiative, enthusiasm and an understanding of dealing with confidential matters.

 

Training will be provided for the right candidate.  An administrative background and experience of an Education environment is desirable.
